Xiki does what shell consoles do, but lets you edit everything at any time. It’s trivial to make your own commands and menus to access other tools.
Reminiscent of Plan 9’s Acme, without the mouse chording.
Xiki isn’t quite ready for prime time—it’s fiddly to set up, and I had no luck getting some of the touted features to work—but it’s definitely worth taking for a spin.
